Blog Post #6: Anti-War

Powerful Anti-War Statements From Peaceful People Of Faith | HuffPost Religion

In today's time there are a lot of things going on and it’s good to see that throughout history there are a lot of people that strongly encourage pacifism and are proud to say that they are part of an anti-war movement. The media and news stations are not shy about making people aware of the different wars that are happening. Especially in the United States you can make one Google search and you can gain more insight on how currently there are civil wars in countries like Somalia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Russia and sadly many more. Throughout all of that the goal still remains the same anti-war activists demand change and are pressuring the government to end a particular conflict with the hope of preventing a war.

Anti-war voices never appear on the mainstream news, I wonder why that is? Personally I believe that is because more conflict is enforced rather than infiltrating tranquility in this world that desperately needs it. Thankfully we do have things like the National Security Strategy and the website Antiwar.com that promote better stability. Also you can even research back in time to an organized anti-war movement that came into action because of the Vietnam War. Seminars, tech-ins and rallies were created by college students for the purpose of pacifism. But we shouldn't have to do research to find out that there are strong voices that are making an effort to prevent conflict.

In this world we have to learn to stick together more, because that is the only thing that is going to keep the world better. To have a stronger world for ourselves and children who are beginning to actively learn and understand the society that we live in. Transformative change needs to be a top priority in the mainstream news addressing more solutions to world wide conflicts that we are informed about. Peace is ultimately the most important thing on earth as it is a necessity for survival and productivity.

Through the lens of the of the diffusion theory there is one tech company that is worth discussing and learning more about and that is Airbnb. A trust worthy app that is a tech distributor, connecting consumers in need of a  comfortable lodging environment to a place with accommodations.  The known name for Airbnb stands for  AirBed&Breakfast , founded by Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia. The company's first idea came into effect in 2007, with a year of perfecting the website it launched in 2008 becoming a major eye catcher in 2009. It takes some companies more than a half a decade to become successful but for Airbnb the founders had the right idea and worded very hard quickly to make the website known and successful. Blog Post #3: The Supreme Court

What did you learn about the Supreme Court that you didn't already know? One thing that I learned from the Supreme Court Video is that every week the Judicial workers receives over 100 new cases, which comes out to approximately 7,000 a year. Most of them are written arguments to persuade that the lower court ruling was incorrect. That is completely mind blowing to me because I personally feel th at a lot of people are still in situations where they didn’t get a fair chance in court. With this type of number being received weekly and only about 100 of them a year for full consideration. It makes sense why cases overall to this day are so backed up, also due to the fact that even as a team of Justices they do different things.  What is the most important take-away point about the Supreme Court and the most surprising thing you learned? The most important take-away point about the Supreme Court for me was that the most of interest cases are going to always come first. Especially ones...
